About the Project

WEC contributed to a major medium voltage (MV) distribution system upgrade at the State University of New York at Oneonta — a critical infrastructure modernization project supporting the university's transition to renewable energy and carbon neutrality. SUNY Oneonta became the first SUNY institution to purchase Tier 1 Renewable Energy Certificates from NYSERDA.

WEC provided specialized electrical supply materials and equipment for the medium voltage distribution upgrade, coordinating delivery schedules to support active construction operations on a live academic campus.
